As described in Part 2 of the 2016 Pubs Code of Practice, pub-owning companies must carry out a Schedule of Condition and any maintenance, repair or improvement works before the renewal or entering into the new agreement. The Initial Works projects can be tailored to meet your precise requirements, yet ideally should include all statutory certification being in place for gas and electrical supplies, fire alarms, PAT, emergency lighting, fire risk assessments etc. They should also ensure that the premises are water tight, secure and generally fit for purpose. As soon as is reasonably practicable after the works are completed, the pub-owning company must update the Schedule of Condition in the light of the works.
All aspects of the "Initial Works" element can by undertaken by ourselves from the Schedule of Condition, initial works briefs and completion meetings, production of final certification for statutory compliance etc.
